300k Cross Country Flight over
the mountains.
In May 2018. I flew north from Portmoak over the Cairngorms to Feshiebridge and then east to Aboyne and back. A great day, stunning scenery and a personal best in the UK!
Across Loch Leven
At 1,400 feet I was nearly 5 miles away from the ridge that I needed to stay up. It looked a very long way away! And most of the transit would be across a Loch and in sink. Would my Ventus make it to the ridge? Or would I get my feet wet?
Chipping to Halton and Back
Flying from my club’s airfield at Chipping to my home village of Halton, near Morecambe Bay.
Cloudbase was lowish at around 2,000 feet, but I made it back!
